Crawford: I will expose Spence’s flaws!

Recently, Terence Crawford has begun his foray into the welterweight division. He will begin his quest to conquer a third weight division.

He has already been instilled as the mandatory challenger for the division’s WBO world title. Jeff Horn currently holds that title after winning the title from the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

However, the fight with Horn will be perceived as somewhat of a tune-up fight. With many spectators licking their lips instead at potential matchups with the WBC and WBA welterweight champion, Keith Thurman and IBF welterweight champion, Errol Spence Jr.

Errol Spence has seemingly been on a one-man rampage in the welterweight division, earning plaudits for his fan-friendly aggressive style of fighting.

He is next scheduled to be in the ring on January 20th, 2018 where he will take on the former 2-weight world champion, Lamont Peterson.

Crawford on the other hand last fought at the end of August. Crawford secured victory with a devastating body shot in the third round which allowed him to become the first undisputed world champion in boxing, in over 8 years.

Sizing up the competition at welterweight, Crawford was pressed to give his thoughts on the man they refer to as ‘The Truth’.

Crawford was bullish about his chances and shared he has seen chinks in Spence’s armour, that someone of his pedigree can exploit.

“He’s a good fighter, but he’s not indestructible,” Crawford said of Spence.

“You know, every fighter (has) their own flaws and I’m willing to exploit each fighter’s flaws when we get in the ring.

There (are) always cracks in people’s games. You’ve just gotta go out there and hit the hole. That’s all you’ve gotta do.”

Doubts have been raised whether Crawford will be able to carry his power into his third weight division.

On that topic, Crawford has no worries about if his power will carry into the welterweight division, “Of course. You’ll see when I fight.” Crawford added.
