Former world champion boxer Glenn McCrory is the new face of the fastest growing digital publication Boxing Social

Pundit McCrory has joined the digital platform, adding punch to its editorial and production teams.

For 27 years he was the voice of boxing on SKY Sports.

Fans of Boxing Social can expect first class written content and exclusive interviews from McCrory, with leading fighters and trainers across the sport.

He said: “This is a new challenge for me in a rapidly changing digital world.

“Boxing Social has a clear vision – it wants to be the biggest boxing site in the world, and I’m confident we can make that happen.”

Boxing Social has grown rapidly since it was launched four months ago, with more than 400,000 unique users dipping into its video content of matches, training gyms, and fighters’ lifestyles.

It also has exclusive coverage of big fights throughout the UK. And, there’s a site that pulls from social media anything, and everything, to do with boxing.

In such a short amount of time, the site has already amassed nearly 157,000 die-hard boxing fans on Facebook.

McCrory, from County Durham, won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) cruiserweight title in June 1989, defeating Patrick Lumumba on a unanimous points decision.
