Hughie Fury hoping to get a fight against WBA titleholder Joseph Parker. Luckily for Fury, he is the mandatory challenger for the belt so the fight is looking more than likely to happen. And it’s no secret that Fury then wants to take on Anthony Joshua for the IBF and WBA Super belts.

The fight between Fury and Parker was originally scheduled to happen last month but was scrapped due to Fury’s back injury. The Brit is certain that with the heavyweight scene booming in the U.K, Parker will make the most of it and fight on Fury’s home soil.

“I think that there is a very good probability that Parker will come to the UK and defend his belt against me which would be great news for the British fans. Britain is now seen as the world boxing hotspot, especially in the heavyweight division, and fighters and champions want to come here and fight. Until recently America was the top destination but there is a big shift towards coming to Britain now, which is great for the sport. Klitschko came here to fight Joshua, Deontay Wilder is on about fighting here, Parker’s wants to come over, it’s certainly an exciting time in the division,” said Fury according to The Express.

Fury is naturally sure of himself and believes he can beat Parker. He has his sights set on an unification bout against Joshua or Deontay Wilder. Fury also mentioned that he and cousin Tyson Fury will ‘rule’ the heavyweight division even though apparently won’t fight each other.

“It doesn’t matter where I fight Parker in the world, though, I know my ability and what I’m capable of achieving and I know I can win the world title. I don’t like to count my chickens, but the obvious incentive to beat Parker is the big  fights out there like a unification against Joshua or Wilder. This is what boxing is all about, the best should fight the best and the best fighter will come out on top. Tyson will be coming back and he’ll be out to reclaim his position, we’ll never fight each other, but we’ll rule the division together,” told Fury.

Parker himself recently said in an interview that he is more open to fight Tony Bellew because he is a bigger name than Fury. But with the mandatory challenger title under his name, Fury might be in luck and land a fight against Parker after all.
