Phil Lo Greco comments on his loss – “It wasn’t my night”

After much trash talk and verbal jabs towards Amir Khan, the sold-out Echo Arena in Liverpool watched Phil Lo Greco getting demolished in just under a minute last Saturday.

The Canadian made remarks in front of the media about Khan’s wife and the former world champion not having it what it takes to be a successful boxer anymore but the ‘King’ disagreed.

Lo Greco went on Twitter later and posted a couple of thoughts about the fight.

“No excuses.

“11 weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to show the world what I’m capable of doing in this sport. 71 nights of training, extreme dieting, and focus led to last night. Simply put, last night was not my night. I want to congratulate Amir and his team on their victory.

“I’ll have more news on what’s next for me after I talk with my team. As of right now, I’m looking to heading back home and spending time with my family,” wrote Lo Greco on social media.

Lo Greco now has four losses on his record, two coming via stoppage. Before Khan, his earlier defeats have come against the likes of Errol Spence Jr, Shawn Porter, and Joseph Elegele.
