Rigondeaux: Bob Arum has made a grave mistake, Lomachenko going down!

Guillermo Rigondeaux is banging the drum ahead of his highly anticipated showdown against Vasyl Lomachenko on December 9th at Madison Square Garden.

Rigondeaux is making a serious jump in weight from the Super Bantamweight class limit of 122 lbs. He is challenging Lomachenko at the Super Featherweight limit of 130 lbs for his WBO world championship.

“It’s going to be a tremendous blow, I do not know how [Bob Arum] let Lomachenko face me, he thinks Lomachenko can beat me, but he’s made a huge mistake.

“He does not know that he’s going down like Nonito too,” Rigondeaux told George Ebro.

“I tell you that we are even [physically]. For the time being it is a secret, but let them see the day of the weigh-in.”

“People will be surprised, I have not paid so much attention to these physical issues, it is my responsibility to prepare my skills and in that respect I am superior,” Rigondeaux added.

“There is no other fighter on this planet who is looking for fights and people are running away and if by beating Nonito everyone got scared, imagine what can happen when I beat Lomachenko.

Names don’t mean anything anymore and prizes mean nothing over what happens in the ring. On December 9 we will see who speaks the most and when I beat Lomachenko –  let’s see what [the critics] invent then because everything happens to me.”

Furthermore, Rigondeaux took to Twitter to chastise the WBA. The WBA has ruled to strip Rigondeaux of his super-bantamweight title if he is unsuccessful in his attempt to defeat Lomachenko.

‘El Chacal’ Tweeted: Very very disappointed of this decision made by @WBABoxing. I wonder if they would act the same way if my name was @Canelo, @FloydMayweather, @anthonyjoshua or even @GGGBoxing …. I bet NOT!

The two-time Olympic gold medalist also Tweeted: If [it] was ok for [Kell] Brook to fight GGG [at middleweight] and then return and defend his [IBF welterweight] title vs. [Errol] Spence Jr. Why isn’t the same case with me? Oh I know…. [inserted five emojis for money bags] Maybe I have to include @realDonaldTrump on this thread since [inserted heart emoji] #boxing so much. @WBABoxing
