WBO World middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunder and challenger David Lemieux stepped on the scales yesterday as both fighters weighed in at 160 pounds.
But fans and media present got to witness a bit of madness when the two fighters weighed in.
First it was Lemieux who had to strip naked in order to make the weight. Saunders’ trainer Dominic Ingle was suspicious that the Canadian had jumped off the scale too early and demanded a re-weigh in for Lemieux.
As promoter Frank Warren over watched the second weigh in, an agitated Lemieux put up his two middlefingers and flipped Saunders off.
Saunders then ‘made things fair’ and stripped naked himself.

The champion then called his challenger ‘weight-drained p***y boy’.

A confident Saunders also promised to donate his purse to charity if he loses and ‘vice versa’.
“@lemieuxboxing has no chance of winning, he will not make the distance. I’m willing to bet part of my purse to charity if I lose and the winner will choose which charity to give it to. I’m not here for the money, I’m here to make a statement.”
