The continued rise of women’s boxing has reached another significant milestone in the European market. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), led by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, has officially announced a multi year agreement with Sky Sports, establishing the network as the official home of its MVPW series across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Under the terms of the deal, MVPW events will be regularly broadcast throughout the UK and Ireland via Sky Sports, while cards in the United States will continue to air on platforms operated by ESPN. The agreement represents a strategic expansion for the promotion and reinforces its commitment to elevating women’s boxing on a global scale.
The partnership will officially launch on April 5 in London with MVPW-01, an all female card scheduled to take place at the Olympia venue. The event will feature four major title fights, headlined by a unification clash between Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper one of the rare all British unification bouts in recent history.
Also featured on the card, unbeaten Ellie Scotney will face Mexico’s Mayelli Flores in a scheduled ten round contest with major titles at stake. Scotney is aiming to become just the second British woman to achieve undisputed status.
The MVPW platform is expected to deliver at least two all female events annually in the UK, all exclusively broadcast on Sky Sports, further strengthening the presence of women’s boxing in one of the sport’s most historic markets.
“This partnership with Sky Sports marks a major milestone for MVPW and women’s boxing globally,” said Jake Paul in comments to Jake Donovan of Brunch Boxing. “Through MVPW, we are committed to delivering meaningful opportunities for fighters while producing premium events that expand the global reach and commercial potential of women’s boxing.”
Co-founder Nakisa Bidarian echoed that vision in the same conversation: “Bringing two premium all female MVPW events to the UK and Ireland each year, starting with the historic MVPW-01 on Sunday, April 5 at London’s Olympia, is exactly what we envisioned when we launched this platform.”
From the broadcaster’s side, Jonathan Licht, Managing Director of Sky Sports UK & Ireland, emphasized the significance of the agreement within the network’s broader sports strategy: “This agreement with MVP underlines Sky Sports’ ambition to showcase the very best in women’s boxing to sports fans and new audiences.”
He added: “As the UK and Ireland’s biggest investor in and broadcaster of women’s sport, we are proud to be part of the momentum women’s boxing is enjoying and adding the sport to our unrivalled line-up.”
The deal arrives at a pivotal moment for Sky Sports, which continues to strengthen its boxing portfolio following recent strategic moves, including its partnership with Zuffa Boxing. This dual approach provides the network with a steady stream of content, combining emerging properties like MVPW with new ventures in the sport.
“We have the best female British boxers in the world and Sky Sports is the perfect home to showcase the elite talent and championship level action that defines MVPW,” Bidarian stated. “Together, we’re committed to continuing to elevate women’s boxing to the main stage it deserves, delivering unforgettable nights for fans across the UK and beyond.”
With this agreement in place, MVP not only secures top tier distribution but also reinforces a broader trend: women’s boxing continues to gain momentum across major platforms, supported by stronger structures and increasing global visibility.
