He was consistently selling out arenas, and generating pay-per-view sales in excess of 250,000 — even up to 1.2 million for his body shot knockout win over Ryan Garcia — which KingRy wants to run back.
And so it will be a boon for the sport, particularly American boxing, if and when Davis does ever fight again.
“Yes, we back in action soon,” he recently said in social media.
Soon could, admittedly, be doing a lot of heavy lifting. But he has been linked with a summer showdown. A Garcia rematch could be just the comeback.
