Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is on the hunt for his next opponent, and last week it seemed that Badou Jack was the most likely foe. Negations for the two to face off for the WBC Light Heavyweight in Saudi Arabia later this year had begun and reported to be “going very well.” However, things eventually broke […]
Like many in the boxing world, Shawn Porter is excited at the prospect of multi-weight world champions Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson facing off at some point in the future. Former super featherweight, lightweight and super lightweight champion Davis most recently beat Ryan Garcia at a 136lb catchweight in late April. Stevenson, himself a former […]
Hasim Rahman’s name is forever etched in the history books because of his spectacular underdog win over Lennox Lewis, and he now feels Oleksandr Usyk can do the same to Tyson Fury. The Ukrainian former undisputed Cruiserweight champion has long been mooted as the next opponent for Fury, with ‘The Gypsy King’ saying it ‘has […]
The World Boxing Association has officially declared that their number 1 ranked light heavyweight Joshua Buatsi must face off with their number 2 ranked light heavyweight ‘Super’ Dan Azeez in a final eliminator. WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury is yet to announce the next defence of his iconic green and gold belt, and the sanctioning body doesn’t seem in a rush to force his hand. ‘The Gypsy King’s’ last mandatory defence came against Dillian Whyte in December 2021, followed by an underwhelming trilogy fight against Derek Chisora in […]
Jared Anderson might be one of the hottest prospects in the heavyweight division, but to him, fighting is ‘1000%’ just a job. Bivol outboxed and outpointed Canelo in their 12-round battle back in May of 2022. Although Canelo has […]

Tough, come-forward fighter Porter took on all challenges, winning high-profile bouts with Pauli Malignaggi for the IBF title before losing it on home-soil to Kell Brook. He rarely had so-called “tune-up fights,” and later fought and won […]
They have already had two entertaining fights, but Barry McGuigan doesn’t want to see a rubber match between British heavyweight rivals Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. The pair first met in the amateur ranks when Whyte took the victory, then met again in December 2015 for the British heavyweight belt in an all-out war at […]
There was a time when Scotland’s Josh Taylor was a genuine contender for the pound-for-pound title. In just 26 six pro fights, he managed to claim all four belts in the super lightweight division, as well as lifting the Muhammad Ali Trophy in the World Boxing Super Series tournament final with a hard-fought majority decision […]
