Amir Khan has weighed in with a prediction for the hotly anticipated clash between KSI and Tommy Fury – and doesn’t not envisage it being a good night for the YouTuber.
KSI, real name JJ Olatunji, and Fury will lock horns at the Manchester Arena on October 14, in what is expected to be one of the biggest commercial boxing offerings to take place in the UK this year.
Though Fury is a betting favourite for the fight, there are some online who seem to be giving KSI a chance in the bout.
Khan, however, is not one of them, as can be clearly concluded from this recent interview with SecondsOut.
“He [Fury] comes from a boxing family, I think he’s a better fighter and I think he’s definitely got the skill set and the power to knockout these influencers.”
“I think it’s a mismatch, really. Because he’s the fighter and he’s the one who has been doing it from young. I think this is where these influencers can get hurt one day, when they take risky fights against proper boxers.”
“They’re going to get hurt.”
Fury gatecrashed the influencer boxing seen in February this year, when he handed KSI’s nemesis Jake Paul the first loss of his professional boxing career in Saudi Arabia.
It appears ‘TNT’ is enjoying life in the space and seems to have no real desire to return to the traditional code should he defeat KSI next month, having already called for a fight with Jake’s brother Logan to be next.
