Frank Warren has announced the next fight for his heavyweight protege – Daniel Dubois.
The 4-0 Dubois recently won the vacant WBC Youth World Heavyweight title by knocking out Mauricio Barragan in the second round. Warren has now announced his next fight that is scheduled for September 16th at the Copper Box Arena in London.
“Daniel Dubois will be fighting for the vacant [BBBoC] southern area [Heavyweight] title against A.J Carter (8-3) of Brixton,” revealed Warren in a press conference in London.
“It’s another step up for Daniel who is working very hard in the gym and he’s looked fantastic in the ring. Albeit some of his appearances have been quite brief because of the power that he’s got,” continued Warren.
This will be a career second ten round fight for Dubois.
“He is the future of heavyweight boxing and he’s a fantastic athlete. In the ring, he looks to me like a seasoned pro already,” summarised the promoter.
