When Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois step into the ring again, there will likely be more anticipation for it than the first fight.
The dominant performance from Dubois as he knocked AJ out sent shockwaves through the sport.
Everyone has been asking, what’s next for Joshua?
What’s clear from his camp is that a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois is his preference.
But what would that look like?

Promoter Eddie Hearn has now provided some more detail on that.
Speaking to FightHubTV, the chairman of Matchroom Sport has stated that there is a clause in the contract for a rematch in February.
Despite talk about Joshua potentially facing off against the loser from the Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury rematch, it seems that AJ is keen to ensure that he’s got another fight lined up sooner rather than later.
The initial match between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois was held at Wembley Stadium in London.
It drew 96,000 fans and broke a UK boxing attendance record in the process.
But the rematch doesn’t seem as if it will take place here.
When asked whether the rematch will happen in London, Hearn says it’s more probable that it’ll be part of Riyadh Season but in Riyadh this time.
Riyadh Season runs from October to the end of February/beginning of March and anything within that period will be in Riyadh.
That means that the rematch will be in Saudi Arabia as opposed to England the next time around.
Eddie Hearn also states that, right now, he is just waiting on AJ’s decision in regards to what he definitely wants to do next.
It may be that we’ll know more once Anthony Joshua’s suspension from boxing is lifted.
With all hints and suggestions from Hearn being that Joshua wants to rematch and put right what went wrong in the first encounter, then Saudi seems set for a blockbuster in February 2025.
