Unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has extended his promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
Joshua, who defends his WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles against mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening, previously had one fight remaining on his promotional contract.
The 31-year-old’s broadcasting future beyond his clash with Oleksandr Usyk is yet to be confirmed, with Sky Sports eager to continue working with him despite Matchroom’s worldwide partnership with streaming giants DAZN.
Since turning professional with Matchroom Boxing on the back of his gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics, Joshua has amassed a record of 24-1 (22 KOs) and won every heavyweight world title except the WBC belt – currently held by British rival Tyson Fury.
