A much-loved British heavyweight reckons he knows who Anthony Joshua will be fighting next and he has revealed all in a new interview.
Joshua is in top form right now having got back to his best following two difficult years and two losses against Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022.
Since losing his trio of world title belts he has rebuilt with four wins inside 11 months against Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and most recently Francis Ngannou who he knocked out in impression fashion at the start of March.
There is plenty of speculation about who he may fight next, with many thinking it could be the winner of the undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Usyk, although it is believed they have a rematch clause that could take them out of action for the rest of the year.
Speaking to IFL TV, however, Derek Chisora thinks he knows who ‘AJ’ will be taking on next, and where, and when.
“The contract says he has to wait, so he’s going to have to wait. He’ll fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and Fillip Hrgovic, in Wembley. Me and my big mouth. That’s the plan. It’s going to be sick. A little adventure for Turki Alalshikh to bring it back to London. Sick.”
With the IBF belt set to be vacated immediately after the undisputed fight, Joshua’s next contest would well see him competing to get back one of his old belts.
