American heavyweight, Jarrell Miller, claims Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua are looking for one-sided fights.
Miller and Joshua have well-documented history, with Miller failing a drugs test and being banned from the sport ahead of their scheduled bout in June 2019, which was packed with controversy in the build-up.
Now, ‘Big Baby’ is back, winning three contests in the last three months and manoeuvring his way to #10 in the WBA world rankings.
Joshua has been looking for a summer opponent and Miller has repeatedly offered to step-in and finally complete the grudge match between the two.
However, the 34-year-old told Seconds Out that it is unlikely to happen, believing they are searching for easier alternatives.
“I feel that, if Anthony Joshua wants that fight to happen, it’s going to have to be his call. It can’t be Eddie Hearn’s.
They are looking for easy fights, let’s be honest, ‘AJ’ is not looking for any fighter that really has a heartbeat, at this point. So, he’s probably going to take another two more bums, guys we’ve never even heard of, before he steps back into the big names again.
I’m here for him, but we are going to see.”
Joshua now looks like facing Dillian Whyte in a rematch on August 12 after is seemed that talks had collapsed. Whyte initially said the offer received from Hearn for the fight was unacceptable but has come full circle and appeared on talkSPORT to confirm he would be accepting it.
Joshua beat Whyte back in 2015 in a fight billed as ‘Bad Intentions’ to win the British title.
