Conor Benn continues to push hard to get his career back on track and has now announced his latest five-man hit list.
Benn returned to the ring this weekend for only the second time in 16 months following the failing of a doping test back in October 2023.
He took out ‘Pistol’ Pete Dobson in Las Vegas and fought all 12 rounds for the first time in his career. It was an entertaining fight with lots of back and forth but Benn was always in control and ran out a wide points winner.
In the ring during the post-fight interview, he and promoter Eddie Hearn were quick to once again call out family rival Chris Eubank Jr but also to state that Benn is willing to fight anyone.
Then in a post on X, he outlined his wishlist and included a mix of retired champions, undefeated champions and of course Eubank Jr.
“Haney, Eubank Jr, Spence, Brook, Barrios.
Any of the above next @EddieHearn.”
Given that Benn doesn’t hold any sort of title and isn’t a mandatory challenger for any of the belts some of these names seem optimistic.
Given that Benn’s performance wasn’t one of his explosive best, plenty of people were quick to come out and criticise what they saw, including two of the men Benn would like to fight. As such he has work to do to get himself in contention for the big fights he craves.
