With the Canelo Alvarez-Ryan Garcia beef still carrying on Eddie Hearn was asked for his view on the public fallout.
Hearn currently promotes the Mexican superstar and speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show the Matchroom supremo says that Canelo Alvarez is always going to tell you how he feels no matter what.
“Ryan keeps putting a few digs in, and which Canelo Alvarez is going to respond to because again, another thing with Canelo Alvarez is he doesn’t really care what he says.”
“He’s just going to tell you what he’s feeling. You have to respect that. We’ve seen it in the GGG press conferences.”
Neither man seems keen on backing down and when a microphone or camera is in front of them the topic is certain to get asked about. Hearn didn’t appear to take any sides on the matter but he commented that getting time with Canelo’s trainer Eddy Reynoso is not something you can afford to throw away.
“I know that Canelo and Eddy always felt that Ryan didn’t put the work in that slot in that gym should behold.”
“The thing you have to understand about Eddy Reynoso’s gym: It’s not easy to get in there and get the time of Eddy Reynoso, and it kind of comes with the blessing of Canelo Alvarez as well because those guys are so close.”
Garcia returns to the ring, live on DAZN, against Javier Fortuna on July 16 while Canelo is locked in to defend his Undisputed Super Middleweight crown against Gennadiy Golovkin on September 17.
