# Canelo tips Sanchez for world title glory

Pound-for-pound king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez believes stablemate Frank Sanchez will go on to be world champion following his win over Christian Hammer at the weekend in Hollywood, Florida.

Undisputed super-middleweight king Canelo was ringside to watch Sanchez win every round against replacement opponent Hammer on the Ortiz-Martin bill after original foe Carlos Negron tested positive for Covid-19.

Following the 29-year-old Cuban heavyweight’s shutout victory, Canelo believes the heavyweight division has itself a new champion in waiting.

“He will be world champion. He’ll sweep everyone in the heavyweight division, because he is a special talent,” Canelo told George Ebro of the El Nuevo Herald.
