Carl Froch has fired back at Frank Warren, following the Queensberry boss’ claim that Froch ducked a fight with long time rival Joe Calzaghe.
Regarded as two of the finest ever fighters Britain has ever produced, a clash between Froch and legendary Welshman Calzaghe was heavily touted in the 2000s, however the pair never ended up sharing a ring.
Warren did an interview recently, where he claimed that, in his younger years, ‘The Cobra’ didn’t want anything to do with Calzaghe – which may have just been ever so slightly motivated by some of Froch’s criticism of Tyson Fury’s antics.
And the Nottingham man took to his official Twitter account to reply to Warren, who Froch stated has “lost his f***ing marbles.”
“I was mandatory for the WBC which JC [Joe Calzaghe] was holding. He vacated rather than fight me, pretty simple really. Old fish eyes has lost his f***ing marbles. He needs saving from himself.”

Froch was indeed mandatory challenger for Calzaghe’s WBC super middleweight world title back in 2008, however the Welshman elected to move up to light heavyweight for a more lucrative pay day against Bernard Hopkins rather than face the up and coming Froch.
Widely regarded as one of the great British fights that got away, Froch vs Calzaghe is a match up still heavily debated by boxing fans on a regular basis.
Froch has even called for an exhibition bout against “The Pride of Wales” in recent years but, perhaps thankfully, nothing has ever amounted from these.
