Carl Froch has responded to a recent call out from former UFC star, Darren Till, and did not rule out a return to the ring to shut ‘The Gorilla’ up.
Froch was one of many names called out by Till over the past couple of weeks, as he looks to switch codes from MMA to professional boxing and have a high profile bout this year.
Speaking on his YouTube channel Froch on Fighting, ‘The Cobra’ issued a typically amusing retort to Till.
“Darren Till? You know what, I didn’t know who Darren Till was until the other day, but there’s not a scouser I don’t get on with when I meet them, so there’s no real beef with Darren Till.”
“But he is piping up and giving ‘The Cobra’ some stick, so I’ve got to respond. First of all – who is Darren Till? Is he an MMA fighter?”
“So he’s giving ‘The Cobra’ some beef and he’s never boxed? What’s going on? Does he not like being alive? Does he not like breathing?”
“I’ve been retired 10 years, but you know what I’m like. I’ll exchange banter, and – if it makes sense – I’ll step in the ring and give one of these MMA fighters or YouTubers an absolute pasting, just for the sake of boxing.”
Till was removed from the UFC roster earlier this year, and has confirmed in recent interviews he will look to make a foray into the world of professional boxing in 2023.
When the possibility of a fight with Froch was raised, Till claimed he would “punch his head in” if the two were ever to meet in a boxing ring.
