Jermall Charlo has revealed who he’s backing to come out on top when Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia clash this Saturday night – and he’s putting his money where his mouth is.
After months of bad blood, social media call outs and a very public negotiation process, Davis and Garcia will finally settle their differences at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
And, in a clip posted to his official Instagram, Charlo told fans he has placed a bet of $10,000 on underdog Garcia to pull of the upset in a few days’ time.
“I got 10,000 on Ryan. So what?”

The two American stars will fight at a catchweight of 136lb, which has came under criticism from certain quarters given the fact both Garcia and Davis have campaigned at 140lb in recent outings.
Furthermore, a 10lb rehydration clause is in place, which is thought to be a further disadvantage to ‘King Ryan,’ who, at 5’ 10″, stands 5 inches taller than Davis.
Whether these terms are fair or not, the consensus is that boxing fans across the globe are just relieved the mouthwatering contest will take place after a topsy turvy negotiation process which looked all but guaranteed to collapse.
Garcia and Davis are two of the biggest stars in the sport, and their bout is tipped to generate huge numbers in both pay per view sales and live gate.
There also exists the potential they could do it all over again, with a one way rematch clause in place if Garcia overturns the bookmakers’ odds and finds a way to overcome three weight world champion Davis.
The blockbuster fight is available on Showtime + DAZN PPV in the US and in the UK as part of the regular DAZN subscription.
