Chris Billam-Smith retained his WBO cruiserweight title after a unanimous decision victory against domestic rival Richard Riakporhe.
The two fighters met at the home of Crystal Palace, Selhurst Park in London, with Billam-Smith claiming bragging rights and derailing ‘The Midnight Train.’
Riakporhe promised an explosive performance in the build up, but it wasn’t the case come fight night, with Billam-Smith dominating and preventing his opponent from landing any significant shots.
As the fight passed the halfway stage, Billam-Smith continued to control the action, and it soon became clear that Riakporhe would need a stoppage.
Despite that being the case, there was surprisingly no real urgency from the challenger, and his misery was summed up in the final round when he was deducted a point from the referee.
It meant that the fight went the distance, with the judges scoring it a lot closer than most onlookers had it, having it 116-111, 115-112, 115-112, but the right man was the victor as Billam-Smith came out on top to retain his belt.
Elsewhere on the card, Jack Massey won the European and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles with a unanimous decision win over Isaac Chamberlain.
It was an extremely close contest between the two men, but in the end it was Massey who narrowly came out on top, with the judges scoring it 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 to earn him the victory.
Whittaker dominated the majority of the action, but there were several controversial moments, with Arenyenka headbutting and elbowing his opponent at various moments throughout the bout.
Despite the misdemeanors, Whittaker was able to stay composed and get the win, as the judges scored it 100-89, 99-90, 99-90, claiming the vacant IBF International light heavyweight title in the process.
There was a shock on the card as Dan Azeez could only manage a draw with Hrvoje Sep, with the referee scoring the bout 76-76 after eight rounds.
Fran Hennessy picked up an eight round points win against Dorota Norek, while there were also wins for Mitchell Frearson, Deevorn Miller and Lewis Pochetty.
