Chris Eubank Jr has advanced to the semi-final stage of the World Boxing Super Series tournament. The Brighton boxer looked sharp against Avni Yildirim and retained his IBO World super middleweight title against the Turkish boxer in devastating fashion.

Eubank Jr started strong and connected with numerous lefts and circled around Yildirim, who wasn’t hitting with his single power shots. Eubank Jr caught ‘Mr Robot’ with a a couple of nice jabs and dropped Yildirim with a strong uppercut.

Yildirim went on the front foot in the second and connected with his power shots. Though, Eubank was the busier fighter in the period and fought back with strong uppercuts.

The one dimensional Turk ate heavy hooks in the first moments of the third period. Eubank landed with thunderous hooks and uppercuts dropping Yildirim to the canvas. Referee stopped the fight immediately.

The IBO champion now has 26 wins and 20 knockouts to his record. He will face the winner of George Groves versus Jamie Cox in January 2018.
