Chris Eubank Jr has weighed in with his thoughts on the WBC’s decision to clear Conor Benn over his two failed drugs tests last year – in typically comical fashion.
The governing body released a statement earlier this week confirming they had accepting Benn’s reasoning of “overconsumption of eggs” as a valid explanation for the presence of the banned substance Clomid in his system on two occasions last year.
And Eubank took to his official Twitter account to poke fun at Benn, by posting a meme of Leonardo DiCaprio from the film Django Unchained.

‘Next Gen’ will have to turn his attention away from Benn sooner rather than later, after news broke recently confirming that he had activated his rematch clause against Liam Smith.
Smith handed Eubank the first stoppage loss of his career at the Manchester Arena last month, an outcome few predicted going into the contest.
As for Benn, it now appears he will look to resume his career this spring, having not boxed since his two round destruction of Chris Van Heerden in April of last year.
Filipino legend Manny Pacquaio appears to be the frontrunner for âThe Destroyerâs comeback bout, with promoter Eddie Hearn admitting talks were underway with the 44 year oldâs team. The likes of Kell Brook and Adrien Broner have also been named as potential fights
Whoever’s in the opposite corner, Benn’s return to action is likely to take place on foreign soil, as he currently does not have a British Boxing Board of Control license.
The board released a statement yesterday in response to the WBC’s decision, where they stated that the governing bodyâs ruling on Bennâs case would have no bearing on their own internal investigation.
