Chirs Eubank Jr has responded to Conor Benn’s latest statement regarding the latter’s two failed drug tests earlier this year – and it’s clear Eubank wasn’t particularly impressed.
‘Next Gen’ took to his official Twitter account to air his brief response to the lengthy written speech from Benn, simply offering up three sleepy emojis as his thoughts.

Benn posted the statement to his own Twitter account last night, continuing to profess his innocence – claiming this has been proven by his team – as well as stating that he plans to return to training in January, get back in a ring early next year and become a world champion at some point in the next 12 months.
One of Benn’s biggest supporters has been his promoter, Eddie Hearn, who always maintained his charge’s innocence throughout the saga, and has fell back on legal restrictions when pressed for a specific reason as to how the banned substance Clomid appeared in samples provided by Benn.
After relinquishing his British Boxing Board of Control license this autumn, it is unclear whether Benn will reapply to fight in the UK or opt to ply his trade on international soil.
Eubank Jr could perhaps do without the distraction of the Benn case, as he has in ring matters to tend to in January. His fight with Liam Smith in Liverpool on January 21st will be Sky Sports’ first pay per view offering of the year, and many in the sport believe Eubank is in a 50/50 fight against ‘Beefy’.
