# Co-Main Event Almost Set For Mayweather-McGregor

Floyd Mayweather Jr and Conor McGregor will share the stage with the highly touted knockout machine Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

According to [TMZ.com](https://www.tmz.com/2017/07/07/mayweather-mcgregor-gervonta-davis-co-main-event/), the current IBF super featherweight champion will fight in the co-main event against an opponent that will be determined later.

It is rumoured though that [Davis will defend his title against Tevin Farmer](https://boxing-social.com/news/gervonta-davis-issues-challenge/). The two have been talking a lot of smack towards each other and it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the Philadelphian challenger gets his shot against IBF gold.

Davis(18-0, 17 KO’s) successfully defended his belt for the first time in May when he knocked out Liam Walsh in the third round at The Copper Box Arena in London.

The Mayweather-McGregor event will take place on August 26th in Las Vegas.
