Danny Garcia, the former two-division world champion, returns to the ring on Saturday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Garcia, who was last in action against Errol Spence Jr., moves up to 154 pounds to meet Jose Benavidez Jr.
‘Swift’ has predicted an early night in what will be his 40th fight. He feels confident that he’s got the firepower to stop former welterweight world title challenger Benavidez Jr, who was stopped in a challenge for Terence Crawford’s welterweight WBO crown back in 2018 and has only boxed once since.
Benavidez Jr. thinks Garcia is too small for the super-welterweight division, but the man himself thinks the fight will go just past the halfway stage before proceedings end.
Garica is looking to make an impression return on Saturday night:
“I’m going to go in there and make a statement. Everybody comes out and has a great night for the Danny Garcia show.”
