Following a huge response from subscribers, DAZN have modified the terms of access to their newly formed channel on Sky to allow all members the ability to watch on the platform.
Initially, the option to watch on Sky was only available to Flexible Pass subscribers, the most expensive tier at £19.99. This was met with confusion from boxing fans who had only recently signed up to the service for a year with the new pricing structure, paying either £9.99 per month or £99.99 as an upfront fee.
However, DAZN have now made the necessary changed so all subscribers will be able to stream content from the service on Sky channel 429.
The streaming giant revealed the move, alongside some important guidance, in a statement sent to Boxing Social.
“DAZN did not anticipate that so many of our existing customers would want access to it and received an unexpectedly high level of enquiries and so over the weekend our teams found a way to allow all our existing customers who have Sky+ HD or Sky Q boxes to easily access DAZN 1 HD on channel 429 of Sky.
Customers on either our Annual Super Saver or Monthly Saver plans will simply need to fill out a short form to provide us with their DAZN account details, address and Sky card viewing number. See ‘How do I find my viewing card number?’. The link to the form will have been sent to their email address associated with their DAZN account.”
Boxing fans looking to take advantage of the Sky channel are advised to do so as soon as possible.
“Customers are encouraged to submit the form as soon as possible in order to guarantee access to DAZN 1 HD (channel 429 on Sky) ahead of the Anthony Joshua fight (Saturday 1 April). For more information on this process, please visit DAZN FAQs.”
The linear channel will have a full schedule of sporting content as well as fight cards, and represents an impressive step forward for the media company in terms of accessibility for both homes and venues.
