Eddie Hearn and Oscar De La Hoya have once again went back and forth on social media, which is fast becoming a regular occurrence.
Despite both promoters hosting shows on streaming service DAZN, there is clearly no love lost between the pair, particularly on the end of De La Hoya.
And the Golden Boy boss did not miss the opportunity to lay into Hearn on Twitter, following Edgar Berlanga’s win over Jason Quigley at Madison Square Garden last night.
#lonesomeEddie promised @EdgarBerlangaJr Canelo and now he can’t deliver, like when he signed Mikey Garcia and couldn’t deliver. No wonder BOB and AL will not work with him.

After Berlanga scored four knockdowns on route to a unanimous decision win over Quigley, Hearn called for a fight Jaime Munguia, who is signed to De La Hoya and Golden Boy.
Judging from his tweets, De La Hoya does not appear to be in a rush to throw his charge in with Berlanga, and insinuated Hearn was only mentioning Munguia because of Canelo Alvarez’ decision to sign a three fight deal with PBC.
Matchroom and Hearn had promoted the majority of Canelo’s recent fights, and the possibility of a shot at the Mexican was thought to be a big factor in Berlanga’s decision to sign with Hearn.
With that fight now well and truly off the table for the time being, there do not a great deal of big fights on the table for ‘The Chosen One,’ who will be keen to build on his victory over Quigley.
Recent Canelo foe John Ryder is one possible match up for the Brooklyn banger, as is rising star Diego Pacheco. However, neither of these fights would be anywhere near as lucrative as a shot at undisputed king Canelo.
