# Deal agreed for McGregor-Farooq II

Almost two years since their ‘fight of the year’ encounter in Glasgow, Scottish bantamweight rivals Lee McGregor and Kash Farooq will meet again – with a date and venue to be confirmed.

According to a circular released by the British Boxing Board of Control, Edinburgh’s British, European and Commonwealth 118lbs king McGregor will face Glasgow’s Farooq once more in a fascinating rematch.

Promoter Eddie Hearn will stage the show at a venue in Scotland to be announced in due course.

A late rally from McGregor saw him pip Farooq at the post, via split decision, in November 2019 in a thrilling bout that managed to exceed giddy pre-fight expectation. Another classic could be on the cards.
