Deontay Wilder has sensationally revealed he could have two fights before the end of 2023.
It is no secret that talks are currently afoot for Wilder to take on Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia this December, in what would be one of the biggest heavyweight clashes of this generation.
However, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ teased in a recent interview with KO Artist Sports that he may be in action on more than one occasion this year.
“There’s been a lot of stuff going on, and the things I’ve been hearing are the things you’ve been hearing. I’ll put it like this, it’s all going in the right direction.
I’ll maybe be out two times this year, still two times this year. We’ve been working very hard and been doing our due diligence to put on the great fights and give the fans what they want to see.
I think people are going to be pleased with the way we’ve been dealing with business. It’s going to be a beautiful year, that’s all I’m going to say!”
Wilder has been out of the ring since his one round demolition of Robert Helenius back in October, a statement performance that reaffirmed his standing as a key player in the blue ribbon division.
Skills Challenge Entertainment intend to stage Joshua vs Wilder on the same night as Fury vs Usyk, in what would be arguably the biggest night in the history of the sport.
Wilder has also been linked a to a shot at Usyk, with the WBA stating if, whatever reason, a fight between Usyk and mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois doesn’t materialise, the Ukrainian must defend his titles against Wilder next.
