The mammoth heavyweight showdown everybody has been waiting for, looks to finally be edging ever closer.
Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua hold four of the major governing body titles in the heavyweight division.
The heavyweights have been circling each other for some time now but there has been nothing concrete, at least until now.
The two most concussive and heavy handed heavyweights in today era are of course, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ and ‘AJ’.
Any matchup between the pair would be one of the intriguing match-ups in recent memory of boxing’s glamour heavyweight division.
It has been revealed from the Alabama puncher, tonight via social media an email offer from Wilder and his team which is spearheaded by manager the renown PBC business mogul, Al Haymon has arrived in the inbox of Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn.
In the video accompanied with the social media message, Deontay Wilder says ‘all the money is in the bag.’
This hints he has provided the figure Anthony Joshua stated he was looking for. Wilder’s social media message includes a clip of Joshua participating in an interview with IFL.tv.
An interview where Joshua states he would agree to a $50m purse to fight Wilder.
Eddie Hearn is currently scheduled to meet Deontay Wilder’s promoter, Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon in Manhattan inside the next 48 hours in an attempt to thrash out a deal.
The Matchroom Boxing promoter is currently in America promoting the Daniel Jacobs vs Maciej Sulęcki fight. That takes place this upcoming weekend.
It should be noted that Wilder contacted his rival directly, to avoid any confusion. His message on social media stated ‘@anthony_joshua Mate! I sent this personally this time just so there’s no miscommunication. Tell @eddiehearn to let you personally check his email this time. Btw I sent Your manager Rob McCracken the email as well. I’m looking forward to our meeting in the ring.’ #KingVs#King #BombZquad#TheRealestChampionInTheBusiness
The @BronzeBomber isn’t playing. Deontay’s email has been received by @EddieHearn and @anthonyfjoshua. It doesn’t get more real than this. In the words of Mills Lane, “Let’s get it on”! #kingvsking#onechampion#undisputedhttps://t.co/7KMPQ5vDxR
