Derek Chisora Calls Out Ngannou For Fights In The Ring And Octagon

British heavyweight Derek Chisora has made it clear he wants to fight former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou.

‘Del Boy’ has been advised by many fans and fighters to hang up the gloves, following a damaging defeat against Tyson Fury. However, the 39-year-old appears insistent on carrying on his heavyweight career.

Meanwhile, Ngannou recently became a free agent after turning down a contract from the UFC and in doing so, vacated his heavyweight world title.

Ngannou is renowned as one of the hardest hitting fighters in the history of the UFC. On his official MMA record, he has recorded seventeen wins, with sixteen stoppages and twelve knockouts, with all his stoppages coming in the first or second round.

Despite being such a brutal finisher, Chisora seemed as fearless as ever and undeterred by the four losses in his last five fights. On an Instagram live, shared by Ringwalk Media, Chisora revealed that not only does he want to face Ngannou in the ring, but that we would like a fight with the former champion in the Octagon as well.

“I’m back soon bro, big news coming soon.”

“I’m trying to fight that guy from the UFC [Ngannou],”

“I want to do it in the UFC and in boxing.”

With Ngannou openly considering a move to boxing, Chisora would provide an acid test as to whether or not he can make a successful transition.
