Derek Chisora has warned Dillian Whyte in light of the adverse analytical findings in the Brixton man’s random VADA drugs test ahead of his fight with Anthony Joshua.
It was a well-timed fight for both men as they continued on their quest to get back into contention for world honours, but for Whyte that chance has now very much faded as the fight was immediately cancelled upon the news from VADA.
He could now be left out in the cold by promoters, TV executives and even trainers with many calling for harsh punishments for the failures.
Chisora, a two-time opponent of Whyte who lost both bouts, has had his say on the matter.
Speaking to Seconds Out he says he has already spoken to Dillian and told him he’s ‘f**ked’ and adds that Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn and Joshua could look to pursue him in court for loss of earnings if ‘all of the test results come out’.
“Put it this way – if all of the test results come out, Eddie should be suing and AJ should be suing for loss of earnings.”
‘War’ Chisora is out himself this weekend on the undercard at the O2.
He will face American Gerald Washington, whilst fellow heavyweight bouts between Filip Hrgovic vs Dempsey McKean and Johnny Fisher vs Harry Armstrong also feature.
As for Joshua, he will now face Robert Helenius after the Finnish fighter was drafted in as a last minute replacement. On announcement of the new opponent, DAZN pulled the fight from PPV and will now be broadcast as part of a standard subscription.
