Despite being the number one ranked WBC heavyweight on the planet and holding the WBC Silver heavyweight title, Dillian Whyte simply can’t get a fight against Deontay Wilder.
The World Boxing Council announced recently that Whyte is ordered to fight against Luis Ortiz who is ranked third. The WBC has made Dominic Breazeale the mandatory challenger for Wilder’s world title even though that was not their original promise.
Whyte commented on the WBC’s decision today on Twitter.
This sums up everything that's wrong with boxing @WBCBoxing you confirmed to me & the media that Breazeale v Molina was not a final eliminator now you're saying it was and mandating Wilder to fight Breazeale before me #Bullshit

“This sums up everything that’s wrong with boxing,” wrote Whyte.
He then continued:
“You confirmed to me & the media that Breazeale v Molina was not a final eliminator now you’re saying it was and mandating Wilder to fight Breazeale before me #bullshit”
Whyte called out Wilder straight after his victory over Lucas Browne in March but despite the numerous call outs, the fight is not coming to fruition – at least not yet.
Though luckily for Whyte he has other options as well. ‘The Body Snatcher’ has been ordered to fight Kubrat Pulev as well by the IBF and the winner of that fight will become the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua’s IBF World heavyweight title.
