Don King has won the rights to promote the WBA ‘Regular’ heavyweight title bout between Trevor Bryan and Daniel Dubois.
Having had purse bids delayed, originally due on March 14th, today Don King productions outbid Queensberry Promotions with a bid of $3,116,001 beating Warren’s offer of $2,503,000.
Trevor Bryan, undefeated in 22 professional contests, claimed the WBA in early January 2021, after stopping former WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne in the 11th round.
Speaking to Boxing Social’s Ryan Elliott, Daniel Dubois had hoped to face Bryan next and was confident of victory.
“We live for this. This is what keeps me in the gym, motivated and focused to go out there and do something. I’m excited and quietly confident and ready to get it on. If the stoppage is there, I’ll take it but a win by any means necessary.”
