Daniel Dubois Calls Out Filip Hrgovic For Joshua-Ngannou Card

Daniel Dubois is a man on a mission after his latest win and now he fancies a fight with Filip Hrgovic on the undercard of Anthony Joshua versus Francis Ngannou.

Dubois managed to end 2023 with the biggest win of his career. The young heavyweight put on an impressive performance on the epic Day of Reckoning card on December 23 when he took on American bad boy Jarrell Miller.

Miller is well known to the boxing public as the trash-talking, 300llbs-plus boxer who was due to fight Joshua in June 2019 but failed drug tests in the run up to the fight.

When in the ring with Dubois, he started well and applied plenty of front foot pressure but the Brit weathered the stop and eventually turned the tide. He swarmed Miller with punches and in the dying seconds of the 10th and final round got a well-deserved stoppage.

It came after a couple of years of ups and downs that have seen him lose to Oleksandr Usyk and Joe Joyce, whilst also defeating Kevin Lerena despite being down three times in round one.

In a new video clip posted on his social media, he takes a break from thumping the heavy bag to directly call out Hrgovic.

“Hrgovic, I’m the daddy. I heard you’ve been calling out everyone else’s name but I can’t hear my name. Are you ready? I’m ready.”

Hrgovic is the IBF mandatory and has been given a shortlist of names to fight on March 8 and Dubois was one of them. ‘DDD” clearly wants a shot at Hrgovic’s ranking in what would represent a very solid heavyweight contest.
