Daniel Dubois has been linked with some big fights since beating Trevor Bryan last weekend but there is one opponent, he has a score to settle with.
‘Dynamite’ won the WBA ‘Regular’ Heavyweight belt with an emphatic fourth round knockout on Saturday in Miami. Since his arrival back in the UK Dubois has been on the interview rounds with names like Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua in his plans.
However, his sole professional loss to Joe Joyce is something he wants to correct, and their promoter Frank Warren wants to see the rematch too.
Dubois told talkSPORT:
“I definitely want to get that done. I want to put it right with Joe,”
“When that comes around to it. I’ll pick off all the names on the list and I will definitely want to get in there with Joe and show I’m a new and improved man.”
Warren says a second fight between the two could go outdoors.
“That’s a massive fight, that’s a stadium fight. Those two guys in there, we all want to see that don’t we? I’m a fan and I want to see that fight.
To set up this fight Joyce will have to come through victorious in his next fight against veteran heavyweight Christian Hammer on July 2 at the OVO Arena, Wembley, London.
