David Haye is looking to get back in top form as he starts training camp next month. The former world heavyweight champion has been actively keeping his fans updated on social media and his latest videos are no exception.
Haye is joined by heavyweight Joe Joyce and trainer Ismael Salas as the trio flies from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. According to Haye, he is still rehabbing from his bicep injury but has already started technical punching.
The Londoner was schedulled to fight Tony Bellew again last December but Haye had to pull out due to a ‘freak accident.’ Promoter Eddie Hearn is confident that ‘The Hayemaker’ will be a 100 per cent in the rematch against Bellew on May 5th at the O2 in London.
“I saw David Haye’s social media today. He is private jetting from Vegas to LA. Very different camps, but that’s David,” told Hearn to Sky Sports.
Even at 37, Haye still has hopes of getting another heavyweight title shot and possibly even fight Anthony Joshua at some point.

“David Haye wants to come back. He wants to try and be in big fights, he wants to try and fight for the heavyweight championship of the world,” told Hearn.
But in order for the big fights to happen, Haye needs to knock Bellew out in the rematch.
“It’s a big test for him. I’m expecting him to be 100 per cent. If he wasn’t, I think he knows that’s his career over. But for Tony Bellew, he believes he is going to end his career for him on May 5.”
“I want the Joshua fight,” said Haye in a previous interview with Sky Sports.
“If I get in the ring with him, I will find a way to beat the giant, he is 10 years younger, three inches taller and three stone bigger and I love and relish that kind of challenge. He is the number one and for good reason. You have the likes of (Joseph) Parker and (Deontay) Wilder, but ‘AJ’ has all the momentum and I aim at the very best,” commented Haye.
But the chances of a Joshua-Haye fight actually happening are very slim. Joshua is already linked to fights against the likes of Joseph Parker, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.
Meanwhile, Haye has confirmed that 2018 will most likely be his final year as a professional athlete.
