# Eddie Hearn Predicts Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk: “It Will Be A Stinker”

Matchroom Promoter, Eddie Hearn, has applauded the efforts of both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk for finally agreeing to a deal that will see the first undisputed heavyweight title clash of the four-belt era. However, the promoter anticipates that the fight itself will underwhelm.

Fury and Usyk were linked to a bout with one another throughout at the beginning of this year, but, to the disappointment of fans, the showdown failed to materialise.

Now, in an out-of-the-blue announcement, it seems that the [two champions are set to finally face one another in boxing’s most beckoned-for bout.](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/tyson-fury-confirms-usyk-fight-signed/)

In an interview with [Seconds Out](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJlZYcxaqUc&t=331s), Hearn picked his winner ahead of the spectacle, which he believes to be ‘great for the sport’ but a ‘stinker’ for the viewers.

> “Could I hand on heart say it’s going to happen? No, because of the history of mainly Tyson Fury, but when there is a load of money, generally the fights happen. That is why the fight is happening in the first place, so I think the fight will happen, when it will happen I don’t know, it’s great for the sport.”

> “I fancy Tyson Fury in the fight. I think he is the favourite going into the fight, but Usyk is very good and I think that he will rise to the occasion. I think the size of Fury \[will prove too much\], I think that it will be a stinker in all honesty, but it might have to be a stinker for Tyson to win the way that he can win, maybe easily. I think that it is a very competitive fight, but I favour Tyson Fury.”

[Fury-Usyk will supposedly take place as early as December 23 or in early 2024.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/24199070/tyson-fury-oleksandr-usyk-fight-agreed-december-23-saudi-arabia/) It’s said that the official date will be announced following the Brit’s crossover clash with MMA star, Francis Ngannou.
