Unified welterweight champion, Errol Spence Jr, has called for Kell Brook to come out of retirement to defeat Conor Benn, who is looking to make a comeback of his own after his drugs test controversies.
Spence fought Brook in 2017 in Sheffield, where he stopped ‘Special K’ in the eleventh round in front of his opponents’ hometown crowd.
Since then Spence has gone on to gather three belts in the division, whilst Brook hung up the gloves last year after defeating his long-time rival, Amir Khan.
Since retirement, Brook has found life tough and appears to be itching to get back into the ring. The man who seems to be tempting Brook into a comeback is Conor Benn.
The two have been going at it online recently, with ‘The Destroyer’ claiming that Brook retired to avoid facing him, after he got the better of him during a sparring session. Now, Errol Spence has got involved and encouraged Brook to face his fellow Brit.

Brook looks up for the challenge and has now admitted that he would love the opportunity to “show young Conor Benn what time it is”, however there are plenty of options for Benn’s next opponent.
Rumours of fights with both Manny Pacquiao and Chris Eubank Jr continue to gather momentum, with Eddie Hearn even admitting that the Eubank fight is still massive.
Nevertheless, it may not be long before we see Brook lace them up once again, whether it be against Benn or not, with the former IBF Welterweight Champion seemingly unable to stay out of the gym.
