Over eight years in the making, Juan Francisco Estrada is eyeing an emphatic KO of old rival Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez when the duo rematch in Dallas on March 13.
Having dropped a weight and a decision to Gonzalez (50-2, 41 KOs) in a WBA light-flyweight title bid back in November 2012, Estrada (41-3, 28 KOs) has pursued his Nicaraguan adversary through the divisions with a thirst for revenge.
Their long-awaited sequel will take place at 115lbs with Estrada’s WBC title and Gonzalez’s WBA Super crown on the line. But the Mexican doesn’t want to leave anything to chance this time and is vowing to settle their score inside the distance.
“I am confident that I already know Chocolatito,” Estrada told journalist Erika Montoya. “I will be very different from the first time since a long time has passed. I’m preparing not only to win, but to get a knockout because I don’t want to leave any doubts.
“I hope that Roman is training hard so that it is a fight that remains in history because I’m bringing a lot of motivation and more so now that I just got married.”
