“No one asked you about your sex drive and what gets you going, mate.” Says Conor Benn to Chris Eubank Jr in a bizarre and entertaining exchange ahead of their fight.
In today’s news you didn’t know you needed, Eubank Jr has given us a run down of how much time out of the bedroom is needed to prepare for potential opponents.
In the clip, posted by Matchroom Boxing ahead of the 7PM premiere of the full face off, Benn looks on in a state of pure confusion as his opponent talks sex in training camp.
“Usually I go eight weeks without sex. I abstain for eight weeks. I’m gonna abstain for two weeks for you [Benn].
Canelo, Golovkin – they get eight weeks. Saunders gets four weeks. Conor Benn gets two. Jake Paul will get one week – so you’re not at the bottom of the barrel, but you’re close.”
😳🍆
The #EubankJrBenn Face Off drops at 7pm (BST) tonight!

Read into it what you will. Perhaps it’s now clear why he was keen to call out Jake Paul earlier this year. Or, maybe, it’s just another way to appear casual in the build-up to a mega fight – one which will see the two fighters reignite a rivalry their fathers started three decades ago.
This is the kind of talk we’ve come to expect from Eubank ahead of a scrap he sees no way he can lose. In fact, it’s the latest in a string of statements to say that he won’t need to be performing at 100% to beat Benn.
Many in the sport argue that he won’t be able to perform at his highest level in the fight no matter what his outlook is. The catchweight of 157lbs – with hefty fines in place should it be missed – requires him to arrive at a number on the scales that he says he hasn’t seen since he was 18 years old.
Whether it’s eating a bucket of finger lickin’ chicken before the biggest weight cut of his career or discussing preparation in the form of celibacy, ‘Next Gen’ is creating hype and having fun doing it.
As he says at the end of the clip, he’s a “bad boy” – although maybe not for the next couple of weeks…
