For weeks there had been widespread speculation that a fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn has been in the making.
Journalist Gareth A. Davies was originally the first to confirm that the teams were in talks and even went as far as to say that the deal was done and the fight had been sealed, but earlier this week there was official confirmation that the fight was on!
Broadcaster DAZN and promoters Matchroom and Wasserman issued an official press release and these are the details we know so far:
Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Details:
- DATE: The fight will take place on Saturday, October 8.
- VENUE: It will be held at the O2 Arena in London.
- WEIGHT: Both men will need to come in at a catchweight, although not confirmed it’s widely reported that a weight of 157lbs has been agreed.
- BROADCASTER: The fight will be streamed live on DAZN pay-per-view but price details have yet to be announced. DAZN is currently £7.99/month for a subscription.
