Brandon Figueroa believes he was victim of ‘robbery of the year’ after losing his WBC super-bantamweight title to WBO champion Stephen Fulton after their epic unification bout.
After twelve high-intensity rounds, Fulton was crowned unified 122lbs champion via scorecards of 116-112 x2 & 114-114.
Figueroa constantly pressured Fulton throughout the fight, but was often caught clean by the WBO champion during exchanges.
“I hurt him like five or six times. I put the pressure on for the whole twelve rounds, landed the cleaner shots and hurt him. I thought I only lost four rounds at the most,” Said Figueroa post-fight.
“It was the robbery of the year. The fans who watched this live know who won. I always come to fight and I did that all night.”
