Frank Warren Reveals Forfeit With Eddie Hearn For Loser Of Matchroom vs. Queensberry 5 on 5

Anticipation is building towards the Matchroom vs. Queensberry 5 on 5 and Frank Warren has revealed that there is a forfeit agreed between him and Eddie Hearn for the overall loser.

Both British promoters have put it all on the line with this tournament. They have made their own selections for each of the fights and hope that their men come out on top in order to rack up points and claim overall victory and bragging rights.

There will be one point for a decision win, two points for a knockout, no points for a draw, and captains who win will get double points.

Deontay Wilder was chosen by Hearn to represent Matchroom as captain and will be fighting Zhilei Zhang, and Hamzah Sheeraz was picked by Warren to represent Queensberry in his fight with Ammo Williams.

In the other fights, it’s Filip Hrgovic versus Daniel Dubois, Craig Richards takes on Willy Hutchinson, and Ray Ford meets Nick Ball.

Speaking to Boxing Social, Warren was asked if there was a forfeit in place for the loser.

“If it’s five-nil then we’ve done a deal where Frank Smith has to come over to my office to make the tea for a day and he’s got to do it dressed as a French maid. And if it’s the other way round then Andy Ayling has to go over to Matchroom and dress as a butler for the day.”

The bill is topped by the mouthwatering light heavyweight showdown between Dimitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev and it all takes place on June 1st.
