British heavyweight talent Frazer Clarke has cast his eye over the upcoming fight between Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk and made his prediction.
This is one of the most mouthwatering fights of recent times. It finally pits the two best current heavyweights against one another and will result, for the first time in a quarter of a century, in an undisputed heavyweight king being crowned.
Technical southpaw and decorated Olympian Usyk has already held that honour down at cruiserweight and has made a big impression on the heavyweight landscape with marquee wins over Anthony Joshua, twice, and Daniel Dubois in his last three fights.
Fury has achieved plenty in his career but right now is coming off arguably his worst showing in the ring when he went 10 rounds against boxing novice Francis Ngannou and only just won on points.
Clarke, who himself is coming off an epic and brushing encounter with Fabio Wardley in their recent British title fight, has been speaking to Boxing Social about the contest.
“It’s a horrible one. I’ve chopped and changed, you know. I was all Fury before the Ngannou fight. I know he was out of condition and now I know he’s in condition now. This is going to sound weird but is he in shape or is he just skinny? There’s a difference.
“I want Tyson to win the fight, but Usyk for me. He’s such a good fighter. But I’m really on the fence. People talk about use your size, rough him up. Anthony Joshua is a beast and how much did he rough him up? People don’t stand in front of you to let them move you around like a rag doll.”
