Ahead of his rearranged super-bantamweight unification clash with WBC champion Brandon Figueroa, WBO title holder Stephen Fulton believes he has a lot to prove.
Their original September 18 date was postponed after Figueroa tested positive for Covid-19, with the unification clash now pencilled in for November 27 at the Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
Fulton, who was crowned WBO champion with a unanimous decision win over Angelo Leo in January, says people are doubting him ahead of the biggest fight of his career.
“I feel like a lot of people are doubting me,” Fulton said on Instagram Live with Ray Flores. “They’re doubting my doggedness. I’ve got a lot to prove. I’m not overlooking Brandon Figueroa. I don’t want anyone to think that Stephen is taking this fight lightly. Trust me – I’m not! I’d be a damn fool to think that this man is not good when he is here with me at the top.”
