# Derek Chisora Makes Bold Claim On Judging For Tyson Fury-Francis Ngannou Fight

Francis Ngannou considers himself hard done by after taking Tyson Fury the distance in his professional boxing debut but missing out on the decision victory.

[The former UFC Heavyweight Champion knocked Fury down in the third round](https://www.tntsports.co.uk/boxing/highlights-tyson-fury-emerges-from-francis-ngannou-scare-with-split-decision-win-in-battle-of-the-baddest-fight_vid2018988/video.shtml) and boxed for ten much better than anyone had predicted. Despite that, Fury’s scoring shots throughout saw him take a split decision.

It was far from a vintage performance from the Morecambe man – something he has admitted himself – and some in the sport still believe Ngannou did enough to win.

Derek Chisora – who has fought and lost to Fury on three occasions throughout his career – said on Instagram Live that even if Fury was down and out Ngannou wouldn’t get the nod, such is the nature of the sport.

> “Tyson was not focused. That was not the Tyson we see every time, with Dillian, myself and Deontay. He was not focused – he thought it would be a walkover. It was madness. A great show, shoutout to the Kingdom. The whole production was unbelievable, but the fights, they were okay.”
>
> “Shoutout to Ngannou for trying. You cannot do your debut with the heavyweight champion and then suddenly they give you the victory. F\*\*k that s\*\*t, man.
>
> Let me tell you something, even if Tyson got knocked out they would have raised his hand like he won. Because that would’ve put boxing into shambles. Who gives a f\*\*k. Entertainment. On to the next one.”

Chisora was Fury’s third defence in this second stint as world champion. [He will next put his WBC belt on the line against Oleksandr Usyk, who brings the IBF, WBO and WBA to the table.](https://wp.boxing-social.com/news/tyson-fury-oleksandr-usyk-ibf-delay/)
