Promoter Bob Arum says Top Rank has reserved Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for a Fury-Wilder trilogy fight on July 24, after the arbitration court ruled that the heavyweight pair must meet before September 15.
Tyson Fury looked set to face Anthony Joshua on August 14 in Saudi Arabia prior to the ruling, with the WBC champion taking to social media on Sunday to tell fans an all-Brit undisputed fight was all systems go.
Following the ruling, Arum told ESPN that step-aside money was not an option for Wilder – also disclosing that July 24 was a possible date for Fury-Wilder 3.
“We’re not paying Wilder to step aside,” Arum told ESPN. “It’s better to get rid of him and go about our business. We can make the Fury-Joshua fight for November or December.”
